Jones Innovative Publishing ("JIP," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through jonesinnovativepublishing.com and our UPROOT Journey mobile app (together, the "Services"), how we use that information, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you choose to provide to us, as well as limited technical and usage information that may be collected automatically when you use the Services. You do not need to create an account to browse the JIP website.

• Contact form. When you submit an inquiry through our Contact page, we collect your first name, last name, email address, inquiry type, and message so we can respond to your inquiry.
• Newsletter and UPROOT early access. When you subscribe to the JIP newsletter or join the UPROOT Journey early-access list, we collect your email address and, when provided, your first name. We may also record the page, form, or JIP resource through which you signed up so we can understand how people discover and engage with JIP.
• Analytics and technical information. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use our website and to help us improve the Services. Google Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, interactions with the site, session information, approximate geographic information, browser type, device information, and similar usage data. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies or similar technologies for measurement. We do not intentionally send email addresses, contact-form messages, assessment responses, journal entries, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.
• Hosting and security information. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard technical information, including IP addresses and request information, as necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Services.

How We Use Your Information

We may use information collected through the Services to:

• Respond to messages and inquiries.
• Send JIP newsletters when you have subscribed.
• Notify you about UPROOT Journey if you have joined the early-access list.
• Understand how visitors discover and interact with JIP.
• Improve the website, content, resources, books, and digital experiences.
• Operate, maintain, protect, and troubleshoot the Services.
• Detect, prevent, and address security or technical issues.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use service providers to operate portions of the Services.

Resend provides email delivery and related services used for contact messages, newsletter signups, and UPROOT early-access communications. Information submitted through those features may be processed by Resend on our behalf.

Google Analytics provides website measurement and analytics services. Google may process technical and usage information according to its applicable terms and privacy practices.

Our books may also be sold or fulfilled through third-party retailers or distribution platforms, including IngramSpark. When you follow a purchase link to a third-party retailer or distributor, that service handles the transaction under its own terms and privacy practices. JIP does not receive or store payment-card information for purchases completed entirely through those third-party services.

Cookies and Local Storage

The Services may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies for website functionality, preferences, security, and analytics.

Google Analytics may use first-party cookies to distinguish users and sessions and to measure interactions with the website.

Where an analytics consent choice is presented, JIP will respect the visitor's selection. Functional storage that is necessary for the operation, security, or basic preferences of the Services may operate separately from optional analytics.

We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site behavioral advertising unless this Privacy Policy is updated to disclose such use.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including responding to inquiries, maintaining requested subscriptions or early-access participation, operating the Services, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes, and complying with legal obligations.

Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose and the systems through which they are processed.

If you unsubscribe from marketing communications, we may retain limited information necessary to honor your unsubscribe request.

Your Choices

Email communications. You may unsubscribe from newsletter or promotional email communications using the unsubscribe option provided in those communications.

Analytics choices. Where analytics controls are provided on the website, you may use those controls to grant or deny optional analytics storage.

Access or deletion requests. You may contact us at ron@jonesinnovativepublishing.com to ask about personal information we maintain about you or to request deletion where applicable. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
